I'm wondering if anyone can recommend a website that posts reviews for luxury travel accommodations? I have tried booking private residences based on reviews from sites such as Trip Advisor, Home Away, etc. but have usually been disappointed. Often the pictures of the properties on these sites are older and do not show what the property actually looks like. I seek out individual properties that are away from the crowds, hotels, etc. and offer a more tranquil environment but, my expectations are that the rental will be of at least similar quality in terms of furnishings, bedding, towels, overall upkeep, as a decent hotel (e.g., Marriott, or equivalent). Essentially, when traveling, I want lodging that is as clean and comfortable as being at home! My experience has been that folks provide excellent reviews on properties that look okay in pictures, but upon arrival are disappointing. Are there any websites that customers provide reviews for higher end lodging? thanks.
