No... the OP asked for an unpopular opinion, not general consensus.

I will never again travel with a woman who wants to spend any time in the spa of our hotel/ship while on our trip. If you need to get things done, do them BEFORE we leave.

Because it's unbelievable what shows up on the bill at check-out!

I hate cruises.

They are like being on house arrest in an urban Marriott with small rooms and expensive drinks.

Right!? It's as if they took a tall resort hotel, turned it sideways, and floated it out on the ocean.

I also don't want to be cooped up with 6000 people I don't know, eating and drinking to extremes. I can do all that at home!

We've been on exactly two, both times under pressure from family to "join the fun" on their vacation. Hated it. One was a bigger ship with thousands, one was a smaller river cruise type. Hated them both.

To each their own, I know lots of people love cruises but sheesh I don't get it.

You must have a really big home to have that many people you don’t know in it.

More seriously, I like your image of turning the building sideways. I am going to steal that one.

I have only done one big cruise. Hated it. I have done several dinner cruises down rivers. Didn’t much like those either.

I hate museums. Nothing in there that I'd travel to see.

For museums I think military museums are the most interesting. They are usually cheap and have lots of cool stuff to look at that I otherwise wouldn't see. Eastern Europe is a great area for this since they always have a ****-ton of older Soviet stuff that they couldn't afford to keep in play so have in military museums. Bulgaria, Romania, etc. great for it all kinds of giant missiles and tanks sitting in the yard to clamber about on.

Not saying I'd travel to do it, but something I always look into when in town.

This thread is awesome. A few more unpopular opinions of mine:

-Oahu is the best Hawaiian island to visit.

-Florida is one of the ugliest and least appealing U.S. states to visit.

-Austin is overrated and San Antonio is underrated.
