I am looking for a long distance car/limo service to hire for my parents to travel to see their grandchildren. The trip is approximately 10 hours (without stopping) which is too far for them to drive on their own. I have done some research, but can't find anything that seems reputable. This would be for a round trip on the east coast. Does anyone know where I can start?

Do they have a Car?

When I was in college, I drove an older woman from Church ( From North NJ to Indianapolis ) in her car. I think I got $100 + she paid for meals, back then (1980 i think) and they paid my airfare back home. She was suppose to share the driving (But I could take her driving). So she Drive 30 min, I Drove 16 hours (we stopped lot for her to go the bathroom).

Yes, they do, but I don't think they would feel comfortable with that. I think it would be best for them to just sit back and be comfortable and be able to make stops for the bathroom. The ride will belong and it would be great to have room to spread out.

Have you considered Greyhound?

And they will want/need to stop. Regularly.
It's too far to manage in one day (whoever is driving).

This is a family level thing.
Someone they know and trust who they'll be comfortable with...
in the car and at the motel and restaurants too.

When we had to move a very frail mother-in-law, we rented a small motor home. She could lie down to sleep and there was an bathroom for short notice emergencies. We could stop for snacks without having to unload her at restaurants and tire her out.

However, my husband drove. It should be possible to hire a driver easier than hiring a limo.

10 hours each way and unless the parents want to say "hi" and then leave, the limo is going to charge you for the drive there and then the miles to return to base. Then to bring them home, the miles from home to get there and then the drive home, so you will pay for the distance four times.

By the way, for the same money, you could probably hire a private plane and fly them back and forth.

Is AmTrak a option?

I'd suggest Amtrak, but not Greyhound. It will be much more comfortable than being squished into a car for 10 hours.

It would help if you gave us the approximate starting and ending points, as there could be other options.
