Just be aware that the money she earns does not go to Social Security. Even though, if she stays longer than a year, she won't have to pay US taxes, and it sounds sweet, it might bite her in the butt later financially.
Also, make damned sure about things like health insurance before you go.

Are you thinking of the "foreign income exclusion"? As US citizens, we have to pay the IRS no matter where we live on Earth (and probably on Mars too, once Elon Musk finds a way to get us there). It's just that a big chunk of the income earned while overseas is not taxed; for 2018, the first $104,100 is tax-free. I worked overseas for a few years when the foreign income exclusion was only $85K or so.

Help her out! (of the USA)
What a PERFECT time in life to do so!
2020 will be a good yr to be GONE from USA...
(Have her try a few more Asian countries while she is nearby) She can always head to the nearby North Marianas (US Protectorate) or Guam if she needs to 're-up' her USA status.

Ah, yes, well, please get back in touch with me once she starts earning more than $104,100 as an ESL teacher abroad. We can go over her taxes again.
South Korea offers a working holiday visa for US citizens under 30 years old. I cannot vouch for the accuracy of this website but here are some details. They also say Singapore offers one as well.

Great, innovative countries with potential for career options (international business / trade).
A kid of a friend went to Thailand for ESL, then Indonesia, Japan, China, Australia, Korea. Landed a great job in Global Trade (based in Singapore). The company paid for further edu. Been a great 20+ yrs living and working away from the USA, and making business investments and having business partners from around the world.
International jobs, opens doors and minds.
