I think, though that NY to Hawai'i beats out NY to Europe too, maybe not. Both can be long flights.

My OH wants desperately to go to Australia. Maybe our flight willl be piloted by our famous American actor, John Travolta.....

I can dream cant i?

My wife want to go to Australia as a dream trip as well. Thats certainly a long trip, but I think is worth the long hours even cramped in a regular coach seat, having read the skymall catalog six times and asking if we are there yet.

Furthest I’ve been was Gore, New Zealand, 19,000 km from London U.K., I was visiting my son when he was living in Brisbane, QLD, Australia, 16,500 km, which I thought was far enough.
He had a trip lined up to Dunedin, New Zealand, so I went with him, while there we drove to Gore, to buy a WW1 German pickelhaube, German spiked helmet, my kid collected militaria.

The furthest ive been from the Tri State Area is China.
That was a rough trip.

12 hour flights (pre internet)
9 day trip
7 days of jetlag

Then I had to come home and get used to the time change again. Oof.

There is not a great deal to do otherwise in Gore!

I’ll give you that Marisa, but I hadn’t seen my first born for maybe 3 years, I’d have gone to the moon to spend time with him, I’d already embarrassed the hell out of him at Brisbane airport, by hugging him, and kissing him on both cheeks.
“Enough with the French stuff Dad, I know we have French blood, but mine’s more diluted than yours, save it for my brother.”
I said, “I see him at least once a month, and he gets the same treatment, you’re my kids, and I love you, I’ve always loved the pair of you, deal with it.”

Oh I forgot about my 6 month vacation in Kuwait. That was worth 2 weeks of jet lag.

Boundary waters somewheres in Canada. Went on a canoe trip in high school from Chicago. Portaged for miles, ran out of food and water. It did prove to me how much I could endure and won't ever again! Lost 30 pounds in 10 days. It was "Survivor - Season 1" level.

Hawaii is the most remote landmass on earth. Been there.
Minnesota is the furthest I've lived from the ocean.
I don't have a dog.

The furthest from home (Fort Worth,TX) by plane would have to be Frankfurt (5,127 miles). Had a connecting flight with a long lay over in between.
Furthest by car would be Industry, CA (1380 miles).
