South, Northeast, Midwest, West is what I was thinking.
So...everything west of what, the Missouri River? is lumped together. I'm guessing you're on the east coast and have one of those maps where New York is bigger than Texas.
For the "West", I'd have to say Yellowstone, Waikiki, and Carlsbad caverns.
I am going to consider region in this sense to be your state and surrounding areas or in my case the general Upland/Upper South Region.
1) Eastern TN/Western NC Mountains
2) The Ozarks
3) The Entire Cumberland Plateau region from Red River Gorge in NE Kentucky down to where TN/AL/GA meet
My top three would be Beaver Island, MI, Bar Harbor ME and the Outer Banks in NC. I live in the NC mountains, so I don't need to vacation here. LOL
