I would never recommend a Caribbean cruise if someone wants to avoid "sketchiness," especially if the cruise is on a mainstream cruise line to a typical Caribbean port.
Perhaps if you choose an upscale cruise line and sail to premium ports, but otherwise, no, you are likely to encounter a lot of people (including children) who want handouts and you may even find yourself in the middle of some serious strife.

That's probably true. My boss spent 3 days in Bermuda on a cruise; said they didn't see any real sketchiness while on shore. But I don't know how far they ventured.
You're going to all the popular areas...don't want sketchy then try rural areas. Boring...but not alot to be sketchy either;

I guess once a place grows to over 20,00-30,000 population, it's bound to start having some really sketchy areas. (The funny thing about that is that everyone warned us not to go to Daytona Beach because of how sketchy it is, but we really didn't find it all that bad).
Some of the popular areas are small towns with TONS of tourists (Sedona, Bar Harbor, St. Augustine) and they have been able to keep the sketchiness out.

OP, are you using "sketchiness" as a euphemism for Black or Latino people?
As a tourist anywhere in the world, you would be visiting the "safe" areas of any town. So, trying to find a town having "little" sketchiness doesn't make any sense at all.
