Two recent articles that could be called "deep dish is basically for tourists".

Not mentioned in the articles, Marie's Tavern and Liquors on Lawrence Av, it's a classic that's been around since the 40's.

Based on a recommendation from a friend who lived in Chicago all his life until recently, we went to Pequods Pizza.. I was more a Pan Pizza than a deep dish, but, WOWWWWWWW was it good.

We just returned from a Midwest trip. We had a great time in Chicago.
