I suspect that in October most of the restaurants that will be open will be more for locals. You can look at where the locals are heading around 9 00 or 9 30 pm and take your pick.
We have found it is worth asking for recommendations at wherever we are staying.
A little research has had me longing to return to Sicily, though not until all Covid restrictions are lifted. The restaurants are so cheap compared to here. But DH cannot cope well with just how al dente the pasta is. He likes it the way it is cooked in the Anglo world even though he was born in Sicily.
