After 2020 being a bust and a few false starts in 2021 so far i'm optimistic that an International trip should be possible in November 2021. Any suggestions on where I could go? Looking for good weather and a good itinerary that could be packed within around 10 full days (excluding arrival and departure days).

Initially I was thinking Panama, unfortunately it's the rainy season there so that's not going to work. Wondering about Morocco but it's closed to visitors at the moment and not sure about re-opening date.

Greece is open for travelers and pretty nice in winter.
Malta
Crete

Lots of nice destinatioons in Mexico.

Belize
Turks and Caicos...

Madagascar is supoosedly very unique and interesting.
NZ and Australia great, but may not be open and too far to fly for short trip.
Cook Islands is on my 'to-do' list, but it can be combined with NZ for free on Air NZ. (will do later)

Yes, Aus and NZ almost certainly will not be open for tourists by then. The Australian PM has been talking about mid 2022, the tourist industry are horrified, the experts are arguing.

But it is a democracy and right at the moment the surveys are showing 73% of people want the borders to stay shut and the virus to be kept out. This is bound to influence their decisions.

If you're in the states, there are lots of great places to visit right here for now. Just a thought.

The downside of northern hemisphere travel in winter is not so much the weather, but the short day-time hours.

Last night I was playing around with planning a trip to Merida, Mexico in the Yucatán Peninsula. For me there were flights available for under $500 and less than 10 hours. I have been there before. It is super safe, super warm in the winter time and short bus rides from cool places like cenotes, Valladolid, Chichen Itza,…

AA has announced pretty cheap fares today to a lot of places, could be worth checking out. I like your Morocco idea, by November they may well be back in business. Several people I know have been to Sicily & really enjoyed that.
