Sicily Restaurants (restrictions, hotel, cheap, cities)

My wife and I are heading to Palermo and Cefalu in October. Anyone know of any non-tourist restaurants in those cities that are worth visiting?

I suspect that in October most of the restaurants that will be open will be more for locals. You can look at where the locals are heading around 9 00 or 9 30 pm and take your pick.

We have found it is worth asking for recommendations at wherever we are staying.

A little research has had me longing to return to Sicily, though not until all Covid restrictions are lifted. The restaurants are so cheap compared to here. But DH cannot cope well with just how al dente the pasta is. He likes it the way it is cooked in the Anglo world even though he was born in Sicily.

I would just walk around & see whats available, catches my eye. I know when we were in Sicily, some years ago, we never had a bad meal. The fish is so fresh, & lots of eggplant. Of course ask for recommendations at your hotel.
