Nashville is cheaper as well. But that's just a little bit too far (3 hours at least) for a drive for me living in Olive Branch.
I've also seen cheaper flights leaving from Tupelo, man that is a small airport, but an hour away and easy to get in and out of. Recently they've been matching Memphis or more expensive however.
OK so I have been stalking AA for a trip to MEM-LAX in the next few weeks and the tickets were going up. So I "rationalized" with myself that the prices would just keep going up. So I bought the tickets this past Monday for 172 each way and with taxes and fees it was around 400. WHY tonight I get on the site just being curious. The tickets were 117 each way!!!!! OOOOOOOOOOOOH I am soooo mad!!!!! And I am such a budget freak and I am totally p-OED that I spent so much more for the same tickets.....OK just needed to vent!!!!!! *evil mean mug*
Check with AA there is usually a price guarantee in a period of time after purchase where they will refund you the diff. You may have a refund coming.
