Hello, I am trying to find a reasonable travel deal for Dec 27 or 28th for a week somewhere warm. We live in SC. We would like either a 7 day cruise or an all-inclusive resort for a week. Prices are outrageous for this time of year I am coming to find out. We are traveling with our 2 kids as well. Prices so far have started at about $7k for the resort to $4k for the cruise + air. Does anyone have any ideas for a great vacation that's not ridiculously priced?
Liz

Default Ideas for new years

A few years ago I went to vegas for new years to meet some people I used to work with. I am not a huge fan of vegas, but with all the bowl games on it ended up being a blast. Hanging around the sports books, all the other teams fans, the atmosphere, it all made for a really good time, even though I wasnt betting on any of the games. I do not know if the casinos in the bahamas have sports betting, but if they do I am sure it would be simular. You can find some reasonably priced deals in the bahamas. Between the spas, snorkeling, visiting, kayaking trips, etc I think people of all ages would enjoy it. I used to take the $99 cruise from Ft. Laud to the bahamas. I would go over on Friday morning and come back on Sunday night. I would stay around Ourlucaya (SP?) I believe I stayed at the Pelican Bay, which could be pricy at times, but anywhere in that area is nice. Nice market (and clean), street dance on Fri or Sat night, nice spa, but make reservations early, marina within walking distance, etc.
