Has anyone taken the new A380? Is there any difference in the flying experience compared with a 747? I heard it is a bit quieter and more spacious, from what I've read the view from the top deck is supposed to be good? If you know which airlines/routes the A380 is operating please specify them, thanks!!

I myself won't be flocking to get a ticket, sure it would be nice but I'd just rather relax back in Economy lol.

I'd love to get on one... however I have no imminent need to go between any of these destinations. If it comes up, however, you bet I'd try to get on one.

An interesting perspective from the top deck on taxi, takeoff and landing I'm sure, and without the annoying angled windows of the 747's top deck, but I don't see how it would be that much better of a view for the other 10 hours of the flight, being at 34000 isn't really any different than being at 34010 feet lol.

I'm still a big fan of the 747's lower deck nose first class section, although the best seat in any plane always seems to be taken up by the Captain.

I recently flew in the Upper Deck of a Lufthansa A380 from FRA-LAX... It was pretty cool, actually. Great service too

I have not flown on an A380 but did a tour of one on the ground at JFK airport some years ago with a group I used to belong to. It was cool seeing the interior of plane for myself but due to the routes it currently flies I doubt I will ever get a chance to fly on one.
