Check out the lighthouse at Gay Head on Martha's Vineyard. By far the most haunting and most beautiful. Just, think, it was the last thing JFK JR saw before his plane hit the water. Chilling.

I love the lighthouses in NC. I was in Raleigh for several months going to school and I went to see a different lighthouse/beach every weekend. I was amazed by the wild horses too.

I grew up within hearing distance of Mark Island Light here in Penobscot Bay, Maine (Deer Isle). I never realized how ingrained that rythm (of the sound of the horn) was until I had to grow up and move into my own home, one town away. I miss the sound, terribly, though if the wind is blowing just right, I can still hear the horn.
