Wondering if anyone has a clue what's the best out there.. maybe just the U.S. one or the world or both?

The best one I've ever been to is the Madam Trusauds in London. Unbelievable because of the sets they put the figures in. Madam Trusauds also have wax museums in Vegas and New York too, maybe more. There's a wax museum at Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco that was great and the figures were just as good as those in London, but nowhere near as nice of a display. I don't think it's still there, but I used to go to a place in Anaheim called, if I remember right, Movieland Wax Museum. I remember it had a copy of Michelangelo's David outside. My father would take me there everytime I'd go to L.A.

I think I love wax museums because my father loved them so much and I try and go whenever I see one. If you're already in a town that has one I don't think you can go wrong.

The woman in front of the presidents is my wife, not wax I'm standing in front of Boris Yeltsin. Sorry for how bad these are, it was in '99 with a bad expensive digital camera

I've been to Madam Tussuads a few times and I love it. Next door is the rock museum, where loads of rocks and pop stars are immortalized in wax.
There's also a pretty good wax museum in Pattaya in Thailand. I was there a few years ago. Although it's not as big as Madam Tussuadsit's a lot cheaper and the weather in Thailand is better than in England, so it's a nicer place to visit.
