What would you like to know? weather wise? tourist spots? general living?
I've been to S'pore several times, not Malaysia, but I'm from Indonesia, so it's more less similar.

Hello!
I would like a journey in Malesia.
I would visit Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Langkawi, PERHENTIAN ISLANDS , TAMAN NEGARA pass accross the Canopy Walkway , redang island and return to Singapore.

This is my idea for a trip.

I love the big metropolitan cities and my hubby likes the sea.
I think that Malaysia is a correct compromise!

Can you tell me what's the better and easy means of transport that I can use?

What's the weather in August month?
I have read that in August, the weather is very good at the West and so and so to the Est.
is it correct?

Many thanks fory your recommends and advises

Weather will be hot & humid, I would say around 80's, you will do a lot of walking specially in S'pore, so dress accordingly.
Whenever I visit S'pore it's always about shopping & culinary experience. Malaysia is a lot bigger, so definitely you more things to explore.
How long is your trip? Visit Bali if you get a chance, it's beautiful.

Hi Jujuba, I would like to go to Malaysia and Singapore about 20 days.
Now, it's only an idea...
It depends on hubby's vacation days.

I just got back from a Jakarta/Singapore trip myself. Singapore like the rest of SE Asia is hot and humid, oh and yeah it rains ALOT. So please be prepared for that of you're not use to weather in the tropics.

William Gibson characterised it best, it's Disneyland with the Death Penalty, and I don't mean that in a bad way either. Once you're over there, forget about paying for a city tour, just use the extremely efficient and cheap MRT to go where you want.

Somethings to do in Singapore
-Shop (there were 4 malls within a 10 minute walk of my hotel)
-Eating at a Hawker Center
-Take a ferry to Banten (Indonesian resort island 20 minutes away by ferry)
-Tour Sentosa (I highly recommend watching Songs of the Sea)

I second the Hawker centers; Singapore is a fantastic food city.

Also in Singapore, there is a decent boat tour of you can take of the skyline. A little banal, but cheap, quick and interesting, and you can hang out at boat quay afterwards.
