No, I didnt. But am planning a couple of days out-of-town next month, as long as work approves my asking for those two particular days.

I am flying down to Fort Myers at the end of April from Chicago. When I get down there, I am picking up a full sized car and spending the next ten days driving back to Chicago making plenty of stops along the way. $10 a day one-way rental from Alamo, up to 21 days.

It isn't a far away place but it's away.
I'm going to be visiting Hot Springs for two nights with my girlfriend. Can't wait!
Spa, horseback riding, trails, nice restaurants, etc.

Our next trip will probably be Eureka Springs and then New Orleans.

Let me know how you like New Orleans (if you go), will you? I was thinking about visiting, but there's a good chance you'll make it there long before I do!

I took my annual trip down to FL for spring training. Great times. If you go to Ft Myers and want to stay on the beach - stay at the Dolphin Inn. Read my review on tripadvisor if you want to know more but all i can say is its an awesome time.

Nope! My vacation is not til May. I find Spring Break is way too crowded to travel to popular destinations.
