I see that you're in NJ? If you don't want the expense of flying, you may want to look right next door. When we lived in PA my girls went to Sesame Place and enjoyed it very much. I'm not sure about Langhorne (I'd have to look it up), but many areas with a park like that have resort hotels (waterparks built in, etc.) close by. There are a lot of other cool places to visit around there too. It's a pretty area.
If you do decide to save and come to some place like Orlando--pick the park with the characters your kids love most. There's also a Nickelodeon Resort Hotel here that my nieces just loved. Most of these places have special room packages.
Ask the kids--plan your vacation together.
Try Bushe Gardens in Williamsburg Va, lots to do and not just in Bush Gardens, around Williamsburg is alot of great histry, it really keeps the kids entertained and has some good packages for hotels and such.
There is a state park in Arkansas where you can dig for gemstones. It only costs $8 to get in. There are quite a few places like that around the country. You can pan for gold or dig for gems.
Can you please recommend a good place to go on vacation
Some of us here like for you to stay home and just mail over that "vacation" money you have saved up to spend. Could send back a video of the plop spill (****) that Mayor Mufi Hannemann had pumped into the Ala Wai Canal.
