it seems like most ppl wouldnt
i asked cause my dad wants to come from ok to ny and he wants to ride greyhound i told him to take a plane but he says its to expensive
I know my daughter (younger than a father) did take Greyhound from D.C. to San Francisco. She thought it was a good experience, and if your Dad wants to come from OK to you, I would support his choice. I drove from OK to PA recently and would have made it in record time if I hadn't stopped many times along the way. And, frankly, I wish someone else had been driving! :D

Never thought you weren't supportive. I was just sharing a different POV.

When my sister first moved to Texas in 1964, my mom and I used to take the Greyhound from California to visit her and her family. We did that several times before we "took to the air." I was a teen, but remembering way back when, it was kind of fun. I was so excited anyway that I was going to see my little nephews, it really didn't matter. It would take anywhere from 25 to 30+ hours. I remember a layover in El Paso that was lengthy.
Anyway, I doubt I'd do it again at my age for that many hours, but 12 hours would be a breeze. In this day and age though, I would worry about too many strange people boarding the bus. In the 60s, we never worried.
also does anyoune know how the roads will be in december hes planning on leaving a little after christmas i'm worried about snow sleet or ice and how bad the roads will be
