The Tennessee river ends up north from where it begins just outside Knoxville.

Speaking of flowing uphill, last summer I was canoeing on the Holston and there was a large water release on the French Broad so the current on the Holston was "uphill" for the last 1/4 mile until they joined to form the Tennessee.

The Wallkill River begins in New Jersey and flows north through several counties in New York.

There is the New River that flows north out of Mexico into the Salton Sea, of course it is mainly sewage water

The Columbia flows east to west, so I guess that means it is flowing sideways?
