First poll, bound to make mistakes!!

I was an avid tenter my whole life until my husband said he wanted to get a tent trailer. I was totally against the idea. Well, he won the argument, we bought one and I LOVE it! We had an older one years ago that had to be sold before it fell apart and finally last summer had enough money to buy a new one. I can not say enough about tent trailers! (Jayco, I would highly recommend) I sadly would never go back to tenting! I guess my husband has to be right sometimes.

Tent, but a tent trailer is OK. Oh how I hate to go to a beautiful campsite with a tent and see those obnoxious huge RV's with generators and TV's running all night, not to mention being stuck behind one in on a mountain grade. A pox onto them.

I so agree with you. The generators are REALLY annoying! If you have to watch TV when camping then go to a hotel is my theory.

I have done home-exchanges for over 18 years ( 37 exchanges and counting , around the world) and love it. We exchange homes, cars and only pay for flights. We get to spend our holidays in beautiful houses around the world and get to know each country really well. I much prefer this to stating in hotels or motels , it's so much more comfortable and relaxing. And we have a lot more money to spend on going out and sight-seeing too...

We prefer to do condo or house rentals. Although we love the beauty of nature ....we prefer to be able to take a shower or bath in a clean tub..not used by everyone else. We also enjoy a fully loaded kitchen so that we can cook food to our taste.

sunnymom - Do you camp mainly in RV parks or in campgrounds?

How about this rather unique hybrid? It allows the comfort of a tent trailer while still bringing along a couple of 4-wheelers using only one tow vehicle.
