VISA have nothing to do with your stay in US actually. VISA is good for reaching point of entry(usually airport). Then you will be admitted and given the I-94 departure record with a STATUS(for example B1).

Admitted until means when she need to leave US unless you ask for extension. You need to fill form I-539 for extending your STATUS, validity of your VISA have nothing to do with it.
If she overstays without extension your next entry to US will be denied, unless you go to US embassy again for new VISA and explain the situation.
