Yes, they do, even earthquakes and mudslides.

My favorite part of the country is Northern California and Southern Oregon. Colorado, my current home state has some fabulous places. It grows on me everyday.

I've been to almost every state mentioned in this thread - each and every one has a distinct beauty all its own. It is wonderful that the U.S. can offer so many widely different places for us to love. HOWEVER - Alaska will get my vote always and forever! It's raw grandeur and spectacular scenery is truly unsurpassed. It can be a hard place to live . . . but an even harder place to leave.

Default Beauty in Every State!

Me too and I basically agree. I've been in every state except South Dakota. I remember being moved by incredible beauty in every state, except for Florida, Mississippi, Louisiana, & South Carolina. I'm not saying that those states have no incredible beauty, rather my statement exposes my inability to see the beauty that exists in those states.

blessings....Franco

One of my favorite places to visit was Hawaii but my favorite place to live is Wisconsin. I love the change of seasons, I dont mind the cold at all, the food is great, I love the Packers. It has everything I want!

NewAgeRedneck,
Ah, yes, some places do require we scrub our glasses to see the total beauty - I really had to work very hard on my glasses while we were in Florida! But, to be fair, I did not get to the Keys.

TheImportersWife,
Your photos of Wyoming are absolutely stunning!! I lived for several years in Denver and traveled quite a bit thru Wyoming - you definitely captured it well. Thanks!!
