I will see you there. BTW the best hotel deal is Orleans if you don't mind staying off the strip.

Haven't been to San Diego but heard it's nice. In California I've been from LA up to the redwoods.
And for me, its down to the redwoods.

Next month again likely.

Here is one coast redwood from Jedediah Smith redwoods, near Hiouchi and Crescent City.

I expect or hope to return to New Zealand later this year for some business related stuff but don't yet.

I'd say my next overseas trip that just involves traveling is definitely Western Australia and the Northern Territory. I think this time though I am going to do it differently and buy a good Ford Falcon or Holden Commodore Ute and drive that and then sell it on at the end of the trip. For now I'm holding off on it until the Australian dollar goes back down significantly and my income stabilizes.

Locally here in the USA, I plan on visiting back in Colorado in the summer and also when I get free time it will be back to Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine and possibly into Canada for some exploring.

May - RVing to Portland via Vail, Durango, the Badlands, Black Hills - then wandering down coastal California and homeward to Maryland.

July - 2 week river trip from Moscow to St Petersburg.

August - DW is house sitting in Costa Rica while I supervise installation of the new kitchen and take care of our kids (two poodles).

September/October - leaf peeping in New England and wandering around upper New York state.

November on - planning to head south by west RVing for the winter snowbird season, with our usual February in Costa Rica.

Looking at Scotland/England/Wales/Ireland in spring 2011, haven't finalized that yet. Italy's Amalfi coast is on the planning boards for '11, then who knows .

Doing a cross-USA road trip starting the first week of May, moving from southern California to North Carolina. Going to be pretty much a straight working drive, no sightseeing or lollygagging time

I'm new to this site and want to thank all of you for it! Already have gotten great info here about routes, traveling with animals, and so on, and big thanks to stillkit for his very helpful input. I'll be driving the southern route, I-10 to I-20 mostly ... hauling a trailer and carrying 4 animals in my SUV. Going to be fun!

So after seeing pictures and hearing stories from friends about how wonderful Costa Rica is, we booked 10 days in August. That's probably the one I'm looking forward to the most!

I went to Key West and Mexico on a cruise back in February and had a good time. In May i'm going to Dallas. I would love to go to Hawaii, but my funds won't allow me to spend over 600 on an airplane ticket. The girls and I may go to Puerto Rico next summer hopefully.

Nothing big, really. 'Potential' plans are to go visit with friends either in WI or in MA this summer but not set in stone.

Trying to plan a trip to South Africa at the last moment as I got a block of free time end May/June, however due to the stupid FIFA world cup that starts June 11 all the damn hotels are either booked or ridiculously expensive (triple their normal rates)...grrr
