What is the best way to find a cheap international flight? Are sites like Orbitz, Trip.com, etc the best way to book an international flight.

If you can be flexible and money is your number one concern, then I'd say go with priceline.

To get a feel for the market, us kayak. Especially good with their flexible dates tool.

I've found checking the airlines website direct was better than the above websites.

Do a search, this comes up as a topic weekly. General consensus is that these sites do not give you discounts (unless you want to go the consolidator route). they are just for people that don't know better. Be flexible, find a good rate search engine, then book directly with the airline.

This is what you get by simply entering "cheap flights" as a search:
