We're looking at a trip to Holiday World in Santa Claus, In., in a couple weeks. When Holiday World opened in 1946 it was the first themed park in the world. Holiday World & Splashin' Safari in Santa Claus, Indiana | Holiday World What's going to be nice about this trip is my SIL is an MP at Ft. Campbell, Ky., about 30 miles from here. His batallion is deploying by the middle of June (Some have already gone) to Afghanistan for a year. This is going to be a "take our mind off deployment" trip.
Then, saving money and enjoying the sites close to home. we're going camping in the Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area, about 10 miles from here. There's going to be 3 families going and camping together. We're looking forward to it!

Going to visit Santa, that's different!

If all goes well, I'm headed to Seattle, Raleigh, Southeast TN, Atlanta, Charleston, Chicago, NYC, Kenya, Amsterdam, Paris and Brazil this year. I hope to fit in San Diego for a long weekend/road trip.
