I am familiar with all areas of Reno and Sparks. I know (or use to in 2010) which areas carried more trouble than others. Is there areas of the Tri Cities that you might have gone thru that can compare to anything in Reno?

I'm not the best person to give advice on this, as I spent a very short time in the area, and one of the three days was spent in Penticton, B.C. However, I can say, I was told to stay away from E. Pasco. I randomly drove around a little. In the areas I saw (Richland and Pasco),I found there to be older homes. Like all areas, some looked better than others, which doesn't always mean anything but I never felt unsafe. Did I see anything like Sun Valley? No. I'm guessing that would be the equivalent of E. Pasco?

In regards to cultural needs, I'm not sure it would meet your expectations. Like others said, it is only 3-4 hrs away from Seattle and Portland, Penticton and Osooyos, B.C. too.

Have you looked into Boise? Sorry I can't provide more info for you. I will say, I can't wait to go back. Hoping to make the Tri-Cities a yearly thing.

Thanks oregon. For cultural needs we have already got that covered. There are several organizations/clubs that in Spokane that will work for us.

LOL Sun Valley. Yep, can say that if parts of Pasco look like that then I want nothing of it! But to be fair to Sun Valley. There are parts on the Highland Ranch Parkway towards Spanish Springs that are a lot nicer!

Take care.
