Hello everyone,

I and my family are planning to move to Washington, but we do not know what city or area to move to. Please can someone give us a good advice or suggestion on what city or area to move to. I will prefer safe area for adults and to raise kids, less expensive, and employment with good pay. Hope to read from you guys.

Thanks

Depends what you want. You posted in the Tri-Cities section, which would mean you want something in this region?

If not, know there are two major regions of WASHINGTON.... three to some people.

There is Western and Eastern. One could say there is Central, but lets keep this basic and easy.

Western Washington is the most urban region, green, full of lakes, rivers, ocean, etc. More wet, cooler, mild, traffic.

Eastern Washington is rural, drier, not green, scrubland with some ponderosa thrown in for flavor. Big river, little rivers, some lakes, snow, hot summers, cold winters. Traffic is a tractor in front of you.

It really depends on what you want. Do you have some more qualifications? You can find safe areas on both sides of the state, though employment might be easier to find in Western Washington, especially centrally in the Puget Sound region around Seattle. Employment is tougher in southern Western Washington. Pay will be higher in Western Washington. You can find less expensive areas, but far easier in Eastern Washington. I hear good families can be raised in any city, but traditional values of Eastern Washington may suit you, depending on your views.

Give some more info and I will happily help further, Ifemmak.

Eastern Washington is slightly MORE urban than western Washington according to the statistics from the US Census. It is only several tenths of a percent, but still more urban.

Here is the official census map: http://www2.census.gov/geo/maps/metr...bsa2013_WA.pdf

Granted there is ONE huge stand alone metro area in western Washington!!
