Not to be confused with the already under construction public/private development at Vista Field, this new proposal will add a hotel and new condo "towers" in the same neighborhood near Toyota Center.

Notice renderings of the condo towers. If built, they will become the tallest structures in the Tri-Cities, and the entire region, with the exception of one old downtown building in Yakima. Wow.

I guess there are some people who will pay more to be in a "high-rise" condo, but, really, land is cheap enough around here that the business case for building "up" does not make much sense.



Personally, I don't like the idea of living in a tall building, idiots I don't even know could start a fire several stories below and cause me problems.
