Moving to the Tri State Region to accept a position in Hanford. Looking for apartments that are near some nightlife and close to work site. I am 22 single male, will I regret accepting this position?

I am a big booster of the Tri-Cities area (not Tri State), but I also try to be honest. While the area continues to grow, offers decent weather, has great river oriented recreation and nearby hiking, a low crime rate, easy traffic area, it has virtually NO nightlife. Yes there are a some bars and cocktail lounges that offer some local artists, but this area is not known for nightlife AT ALL.

The area is very family friendly, so someday if you get married and have a kid or two you might enjoy it.

As for apartments, there are literally thousands of apartments in North Richland, which would be the most convenient. The closest to Hanford is The Commons, but it is not close to anything commercial.

You will have to factor all this into your decision, but only you can determine how important that element is.

It's a pretty quiet area, we rolled into Richland late on a Friday (albeit several years ago), and couldn't find anything open except one bar which had stopped serving food earlier on in the night. We were driving a truck and trailer though so we didn't venture all that far from the hotel. Ended up doing a vending machine "dinner" from the hotel lobby.
If you're into powersports there is the Horn Rapids ORV park which offers dirt bike trails and racing, mini-bike course(kids), a paved go kart track, camping, and more.
