Some, but not as bad as in some recent years.

I know Yakima had it a lot worse than the rest of the region.

Yes, the Schneider Springs fire west of Yakima is the culprit. As I understand it, this huge fire is not completely out yet. But the Tri has not been hit by this.

Seattle this summer was almost completely smoke free (except one day in August), so it was a great summer.

Tri cities still nice and warm here in mid October, but I hear this winter may be setting up as cold. Depends on how much precip to predict snowfall. But could be abnormally snowy. We shall see. The Tri is always a wildcard and somewhat unpredictable.

Well I think NOAA has called this winter as a La Nina event. So, yeah, could be cold and snow.

Has been unusually rainy since last night. Rain is forecast for the next 5 to 7 days, but not very cold yet.

October high temps come in at 66.7, just about one degree above normal. No real extremes during this month with daytime highs between 52 and 78. (78 on 10/3 and 52 on 10/31)

November average high at 54.5, about four degrees above normal. Starting December with an amazing 72, but much cooler coming later this week.
