I'm fairly new to town and looking for some unique ideas for a first date in the area. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!

If your date enjoys wine there a few good wineries within the city of Richland. J. Bookwalter, Tagaris, Barnard Griffen are all lined up at the same location on Tulip Ln, just off Queensgate south of I-182. A bit further out, on Dallas Rd have heard good things about Goose Ridge. Always check for hours as wineries don’t always keep regular ones.

I had the pleasure of living there for 6 months. Church would be my first suggestion. Badger mountain is great, if you like hiking or the outdoors. You can hike badger any time. IT is most beautiful after dark. You do not need a flashlight either. With no trees you can always see from the city lights. I would hike after dark and most nights could see at least 30 feet. The only wildlife I ever saw up there were the coyotes, but they won't bother you. My pooch use to play with them.

Also....badger mountain is the place where you see people hiking. If you look online for other walks and hikes you won't see very many people.

All the rivers in the area are also beautiful.

If you want to do coffee for a first date, how about Barracuda Coffee over on Van Giesen.

Barracuda Coffee is popular, no doubt. Excellent location away from other coffee shops on Van Gieson just east of the the bypass. Easy and quick drive-thru, and very nice employees. As an Uber driver, I know.
