We are making a very quick transition to the Richland/Kennewick area. I prefer to move the family quick and once instead of twice (first to short-term housing and then to permanent housing).

Can anyone recommend either people that lease houses (annual or lease to own) or the best apartments?

We need ~2000 square feet (3 or 4 bedroom) and prefer lease-to-own. Where we are coming from it is not uncommon for new home builders to lease-to-own (& / or offer bridge loans).

Looks like our preferences for areas are Badger Mountain, White bluffs, Sunset View.

We need a very safe and family friendly area where my 1st and 3rd graders can ride bikes and play with friends.

It might help if you said what price range you are interested in. You prefer a house, but would take an apartment.

Where are you going to work? With gas prices up, you might as well set up for a short commute if you have the choice.

Yes, that's what came to mind initially , price range makes a difference..homes are cheaper here compared to other locations in the state, but than again also it's a buyers' market with the lousy economy nationwide...

I'm in a nice area of Richland, pm with the price range and I'll inform you what I know...also I was looking for a friend a few months back on craigslist.

Here is the url if interested, it will give you a good gut feeling what's here, once again, based on price range, also craigslisting has rentals as well, if you are not familar with the free internet listing..
Here is the url:

craigslist classifieds: jobs, housing, personals, for sale, services, community, events, forums (http://www.kpr.craigslist.org - broken link)

Good Luck, hope this gets you in the proper direction anyway...
