I have occasional need for a vet for my ducks and geese. Is there anyone who has poultry (chickens, ducks, geese, other fowl) who can recommend a vet who is willing to see my birds, and actually has treated large birds successfully in the past?

If you don't know a vet who can see them, are there any feed store personnel or other people who can help when we have the need? (Where we used to live we found a feed store operator who was had been trained to treat waterfowl and poultry, and was more helpful than the vet who usually only treated dogs and cats.)

Thanks, these birds are pets for my kids, as well as 4-H projects, and we want to treat them as humanely as possible, including giving them appropriate care when they are sick or injured.

Coleman Animal Health Center treats both dogs/cats as well as exotic animals such as birds and reptiles.

Hope this helps

Thanks! With as many animals as there are around here, including 4-H, it seemed as though someone should know something about birds if not directly waterfowl.

Anyone else that anyone can recommend? One vet is good, two would be better, in case of emergency or vacations or such.
