I live in Pasco and work in Richland. 6 min drive time at 7am. Then around 5ish, it turns into a 20 min drive. I think of the three cities more like 1 bigger city divided by two rivers. You really cant tell much difference between the cities.

Waguy, right its a minor question.
To answer it
kennewick is in the middle of richland and pasco
so if you work in kennewick and live in richland its not bad travel time 15 mins maybe more depending on where you live in richland.

For example travel time if you worked at columbia center mall, and you lived in the south end of richland at the on the green condos.... your travl time would be 5-8 mins with low traffic .

if its summer traffic is 4:50-6:30
by 7 traffic has cooled waaay down.

winter is around the same

when school is in session its typically
2:20 -4

then 5- 6;30
but the GOOD news about tri cities traffic is its not bad at all in comparison to seattle.
average travel time would be anywhere from 15-20 mins

There really isn't much out there in the Tri-Cities, I wonder how it became #51?? Who makes these ratings? Is #51 to retire? To find a job? For Schools? One man's heaven is another's hell. I just don't know how viable these so-called ratings are.

The tri-cities are boring, ugly and conservative- reminds me a lot of Texas. But they have jobs and it's not expensive to buy a house so that's probably how they made the list.

The Tri-Cities lacks what many big cities in the area have, such as bumper to bumper traffic, high crime, and awful weather. It's like anywhere else. It has good and bad points.

It depends **highly** upon your nature. If you're a stable, family type that like living in a safe subdivision, then Richland and parts of Kennewick and Pasco are for you. Even then, don't expect a welcoming reception - I had a friend that didn't talk once to his neighbors in 7 years of living here.

If you're a single male, avoid this place like a disease. If you're a single woman, it isn't as bad.

What big cities in the area? Spokane, since that is the only one? I would deal with traffic in a heartbeat to get out of this terrible area.

Seattle, Portland, Spokane. I don't disagree with your opinion on the area, but why do you think it's terrible?
