I'm making a trip to the Tri-Cities area next week to scope it out for a potential move, and I'm looking for recommended "must see" locations or "must do" activities from locals. It's going to be a short trip, so I won't be able to devote a whole day to anything like a boat tour on the river.

Another question - is this place really THAT terrible for singles? I've read that in multiple postings, but I live in a place that is horrendous for singles (like 3 marriages a year!), especially for women. So almost anything would be an improvement. Just checking to see if anyone has a different perspective on the singles scene. Thanks so much!

If you're looking for something to do for an hour or so during the day, go hang out at Howard Amon park in Richland for a little while. That'll give you a good idea of what a lot of people around here do on the weekends in the summer.
