I am currently living in the Tri-cities and I am completely new to this area... I was hoping I could get some advice and insight on where to go on Friday and Saturday nights...

I am a 21 y/o male living with a roommate who is also from out of town...

thank you for your responses

Which city do you want to party in? I know more about Richland, so most of my comments are Richland-centric. I think I remember you and you are living near the Mall, though.

There are a couple of bars in the Uptown, there is Dax's close to Richland GESA, Ty's Tavern over in West.

If you are near the Mall, you might just pop over to Red Robin, easy walking distance.

Sorry to say, this is an engineering town, so it's heavy on geeky guys and light on attractive single women. I think I posted up before that there isn't much nightlife around here, it has not got better.

There are a number of fairly trashy-looking bars in downtown Kennewick. There is always the Townie Crier in the Uptown of Richland. Other than that, they come, they go. There's a place on Vista in Kennewick called Espo's that probably meets your criteria. Such places fill me with loathing, but there are some I've been dragged into and that's how I learned.

The Pub near Clearwater/Columbia Center Blvd is a cool place to go. Free peanuts and popcorn and you can toss the shells on the ground.

If you want more of a club type place with a lot of young people you can go to Jokers on Wellsian Way in Richland. It's usually packed with a dancefloor and comedy on Thursday and Friday nights. There is also a bowling alley attached to it as well as some gambling. (Cards)

In Richland you can hit up the uptown. A lot of bars around there so you can walk around and find one you like. Towne Crier is the busiest.

In Kennewick you can go downtown and there is quite a few bars clustered together as well. Sports Page, Jack Diddleys, Branding Iron, Players...

Check out the grocery store or a coffee shop to see if they have the Entertainer. It's a little newspaper that has events in it. Usually music related. The Entertainer Newspaper

I've never been there myself, but I hear Ray's Golden Lion in the Uptown is a good place to go on the weekends to hear live music.
