The less people who know what happened, the more likely it is to stay a
secret.
Exactly...... this is one reason why I do not think there was some type of sex ring involved.....let alone pornographic pictures of JonBenet floating around out there somewhere.
Skull fracture occurred in bathroom, JB was probably crying, Patsy was probably annoyed, maybe had a few glasses of wine, and she smacked JB, who smacked her skull against the tub, or sink.
And of course, no the whole thing was JB's fault. She was tied up, as usual, as Patsy probably did not realize how hard she had hit her. Then, later when she went to check on her, she was dead... And the cover up had to start.
Just a theory.
Once you get past how normal families act, and know how a dysfunctional family acts, seeing a cover up here is not far fetched.
All the Ramsey's have been cleared of any involvement by every investigating agency in this case. The only thing left is speculation by those that cannot prove anything. The only evidence left unsolved is who broke the basement window and left an unidentified boot print near it.
The only other solution would be if someone is going to come right out admit they killed her and proved that they did it. Good luck on that happening.
The police have closed the case to investigating it any further.
They were cleared by all the original investigative agencies. This Steve Thomas is privately re-investigating, and I have very little faith in his credibility.
The Ramseys were actually indicted by a grand jury. They were supposed to stand trial for child abuse that resulted in their daughters death. It was an inept prosecutor who chose to keep that indictment sealed.
The evidence against them is galactic compared to any 'evidence' that exonerates them.
The retired detective wanting to re-open this case is one of the original detectives who blundered the whole case in 1996 making a mistake after mistake and now is writing a book trying to white wash over his blunders to make himself look good while profiting big $$$ from Jon Benet's death with his newly released book.
Until I see 100% concrete proof otherwise of the Ramsey's involvement in Jon Benet's murder and not hearsay. I'll firmly believe the Ramsey's are innocent. Innocent until proven guilty is the way I believe the justice system works.
There is no credibility in this man's unfounded dream of resolving his inadequacies in this case.

I'm just curious if you've read any of the books written about the case? I've read three, four if you count John Douglas's chapter which is pro-Ramsey, and I think they clearly dispute ANY possibility of anyone other than the Ramsey's being responsible. Douglas doesn't use any evidence to clear the Ramseys, he uses a profile.
I got the feeling that the ones who blundered the case wanted it closed, it was the OTHER detectives that wanted to put the Ramseys on trial.
