PS: If you look, this story was from February, showing how far it was buried... Not so with her original accusations which made international headlines.
When I first heard this story (back with the supposed rape) I knew it was bull-hockey. I have had many dealings with Duke students... even drunken Duke students. Yes, there are entitlement issues there. But when the accusation flew, it didn't feel right. The whole timeline was off and quite honestly, she was not the type that a boy smart enough to get into Duke would throw away his future over. I am glad the truth came out, it sucks it took so long and that those boys lives were tarnished in this way, not to mention the lacrosse team's winning season was abandoned.
I am not surprised that Crystal Mangum is self destructing. Call it Karma, Divine intervention or whatever. When you live your life as foolishly as she has, there is a high likelihood that there is going to be drama and confusion in your life.
I feel for the innocents who have been drug into her life.
Any reason why this is local news while when they believed her, the rape accusation story made national headlines?
Because Jesse Jackson, et al, don't wanna talk about how wrong they were about this mentally ill gal.
What irks me is the way Jesse and Friends rallied around her and even gave that gal a full scholarship to pay for her education and tried to make her into some sort of tragic figure.
She made lousy decisions and then gets lauded for it.
What a crock.
