I've read many articles and a few books on this fascinating case. After examining all the evidence I cannot understand how they convicted her. Her promiscuity was on trial from the beginning and just because you choose to sleep around it does not make you a murderer. I believe those children went out the window with someone who knew exactly what he was going to do to them and unfortunately their mother was condemned for the lifestyle she chose to live.

The ny papers had a field day with Alice. She was huge news because of her life style. I bet Alice didn't do it but she knew who did. She kept her mouth shut and I think it paid off in the end.

I guess most people don't remember Alice. Her kids would be about 50 if they lived. Her family stood by her as did her boyfriend the married contractor. He had his own kids. They married after she got out of jail. Alice faded from the news and the case remains unsolved. A lot of crazies came forward in the case......and Alice did a lot of screaming and crying and fainting in the court. The case was covered for years until she married the supposed mob connection.

I was a teenager when this crime happened. I can still remember the newspapers having a field day with this crime. Imagine what it would have been like nowadays.

Looks as if most people don't remember Alice. What a case!!!!! news coverage was huge. Great reading for those who like crime books. Wonder if anyone knows what happened to her first husband Eddie.

Reading the link that another poster included in their post, I don't think Alice did it. Unfortunately, the kids had a habit of sitting by the window and waving to people that passed by their house and I think someone got them while doing that.

Yes..I read the book a while back. Very good book but I don't think Alice did it either. I think because of her reputation and the "activities" she engaged in..she was the main focus of their investigation from the get go. I'd be interested to know what happened to her first husband Eddie as well.
