[LEFT]A McConnell Air Force Base sergeant who indulged in a swinging lifestyle will spend the next eight years in military prison and lose the benefits that have helped him fight off AIDS since his HIV-positive diagnosis in 2007.
Lt. Col. William Muldoon sentenced Tech. Sgt. David Gutierrez to prison, dishonorably discharged him and reduced his rank to the lowest for an enlisted person.
Aren't the people he was with allready living a high risk lifestyle? What about those that don't know that they have HIV and are out there spreading it around? This is just one guy that is out there playing with fire. Sure he knew he has HIV, but why would you believe anyone now adays that they are clean? Just seems to me that the swinger lifestyle is a lot like playing Russian Roulett, and the people are aware of the risks but do it willingly.
People are so dumb, they think they can tell by looking if a person is infected. Dude, if that were true there would BE no epidemic.
There is no punishment on earth that fits this crime.
So true. Here in the healthcare field that is one thing that we can't say a person has at least in California. The reason is that no one knows who has it or not unless tested. I would bet that plenty of women and men got something including HIV from a SO or Spouse. Sad but true.
The only happy thing in that article was the statement that as far as they know he hasn't infected anyone. Was anyone but me surprised that it it possible to charge an airman with adultery in this day and age?
They trusted him because he was military. Naive people but then what kind of people fool around like that if they aren't naive in the first place?
