He probably did have the affair for a few weeks and then tried to get himself out of it without hurting her feelings. Anybody remember Cindy back in those days? She was like a walking zombi and George must have been so crazy that the distraction of this attraction was all he had to keep his sanity.

As much as everyone hates "Nancy Grace", she would not have her on her show. Interesting. Either River Ho' wanted money, and they would not pay...or media ethics? Who knows.
I still am not 100% sure that there was no affair, but all her appearances on tv, and then the suggestion that she gave him all that cash, well there goes your credibility factor bigtime. in my opinion of course.

My take on this: She is an opportunist. He was grieving, and in need of comfort. Most likely, he spoke to her several times, and she took advantage of the situation. He really can do much better than that. She has the face of a monkey.
