It was in the testimony that duct tape was wrapped around her face. Any detective or true crime enthusiast can tell you that's a clear indicator of murder. I've never heard of even ONE accidental death in which duct tap was wrapped around the victim's face afterward. This was clearly a homicide.

And refuted by the defense's expert witness.

Quote:
Dr. William Rodriguez was the first of two expert witnesses called by the defense Saturday to refute the duct tape claim, according to ABC News. Rodriguez, a forensic anthropologist with the U.S. Department of Defense Armed Forces Medical Examiner's Office, said it would be impossible to determine the exact position of duct tape on a corpse given the time the remains had been at the mercy of the elements. He also offered that duct tape adhesive loses its stickiness over time and that animals that came into contact with the body could have moved the tape as well.

Forensic expert Dr. Werner Spitz testified that the duct tape the prosecution argued was used in the murder was actually applied after the body began decomposing. He also stated, according to the Associated Press, that the state's autopsy of Caylee Anthony's body had been "shoddy" and that the entire body had not been examined. He attested that he also examined inside the child's skull, something that had not been done prior to his examination.
Quote:
There were 'specks' of decomposition sediment inside the left side of Caylee's skull, which Spitz said indicated the girl's death was not necessarily a homicide.

Orange and Osceola County medical examiner Jan Garavaglia determined that Caylee was killed 'by undetermined means.'

If the tape had suffocated Caylee, evidence of skin would have been on the sticky side of the tape, he said. But there was no such evidence on the tape.

'I had problems with (the manner of death finding),' Dr Spitz said. 'When a body decomposes the tape comes loose on the skeletal structure.

"Forensic expert Dr. Werner Spitz testified that the duct tape the prosecution argued was used in the murder was actually applied after the body began decomposing."

With testimony like that the jurors should use common sense and reason. Why apply duct tape to a decomposing body. Sensible jurors shouldn't rely on so-called 'expert' testimony that's ridiculous simply because it's an 'expert,' paid for their testimony.

Duct tape found on skull. The same type tape found in the Casey Anthony home which was a rare duct tape.

Ok, but who applied it?

That's laughable.

Casey Anthony.

Juries are always faced with conflicting 'expert' testimony. If they believe the defense every time, there'd always be reasonable doubt, never a conviction.

I just saw Juror #3 and her comments are totally ridiculous. She said she totally threw out the testimony of the chloroform. Never connected any dots of why Casey lied about the whereabouts of Caylee for 31 days.. How dumb she is! This girl wanted to make sure she did not convict without proof... this girl is a total airhead.

Not really. Florida's the lightning strike capital of the country. We have daily storms this time of year.

Here is Juror #2's interview today in the St Pete Times. Also comments from the ABC interview with Juror #3.

Casey Anthony juror says the jury wanted to find her guilty, but the evidence 'wasn't there' - St. Petersburg Times

I didn't see the interview just read the article in the St Pete newspaper ... and Juror #3 is studying to be a nurse!! Heaven help those under her care. She is the juror that was mentioned as the 'giggler' ... what a travesty of justice for the whole world to see. I received emails from friends today in the UK and yesterday from Australia ... so the US is allowing people to kill their babies now.

The jury is hiding out in shame or else until the big money offers start to roll in from the media.
