She and her family get all the kudos in the world. No matter what anyone says about the kidnapping, Elizabeth is a survivor. She lived thru a horrific experience. And is moving forward with her life in a positive manner. She and Jaycee are examples of what being resilent means.

I liked what she said to George on GMA. She said she could live in her past and feel sorry for herself for ever or Start over and help others and start a career like she is now doing with GMA and I think she said she also has her own foundation or she was working with Jaycee's foundation. Later part i am not positive.
She is VERY pretty and GMA george and the other reporter lady dont know her name she is black woman said they are so excited to have her part of the GMA family

I personally wish she and her family would go away and live their life anonymously as they did before the kidnapping. The media gets a perverse thrill out of glamourizing young female sexual victims and it's grotesque to see people fawn all over her. Leave her be.

very sad of you to think and say this.
She is trying to help others. Both Elizabeth and Jaycee are doing a lot of good in the media. Helping others and bringing awareness of abduction and also how to get over thier past.
Elizabeth Smart is going to be working for GMA on several media projects not just about her kidnapping. She has every right to pursue a career as a news reporter.

If someone doesn't want to watch Elizabeth Smart (or any other crime victim) they can turn the TV off.
Personally, I think she has a a lot to teach us.

Seeing those young women, Jaycee and Eliabeth, doing such positive things with their lives after the most horrible experiences....makes me want to smack the little princesses I work with, teens from rich families, who complain about PTSD, because they did not get a Porsche at age 16, and that is why they are POS who take drugs, steal, fail school, and have eating disorders or whatever drama they can think up.
Oh well, I won't smack them. But it is annoying to see teens who had no real problems blame the world for their issues. Not unlike Child Killer.
