I know that this is very short notice, but...for those of you who are lucky enough to have BBC America as one of the channels on your cable/satellite TV system, tonight at 10:00 PM, they will premiere their new series, Whitechapel. This is a dramatization of present-day London cops dealing with a Jack The Ripper copycat as he wreaks havoc in modern London.
If the script and the acting are as good as we have come to expect from BBC productions, it should be entertaining. And, since British series only run for a maximum of 6 shows per season, they should have no problem going through the full gamut of copycat murders in the limited run of the series.
So--Law & Order UK (which is superb) at 9:00 PM, and then Whitechapel at 10:00 PM!
And, the good news is that BBC America does tend to repeat their shows, so it is possible that you may be able to view the program later tonight (perhaps midnight or 1:00 AM), plus probable reruns on other dates.
