in the Costas interview, when asked if he was sexually attracted to boys (young boys), there was such a long pause before he answered...what does that tell you? Seems like a pretty straight forward question to me. He actually had to think about how he wanted to answer, and when he did answered it was beyond creepy. Like, yes I'm attracted to boys but not sexually. Oh, OK. I'd love to see the whole interview.
Where is the person in authority above this judge? And why hasn't this person stepped in to set a realistic secured bond for this pedophile? $100K? Insane. Unsecured? Ludicrous.

He is like most child molester's, who convince themselves that they love kids, and that kids love what they are doing to them. The insidious part of a molester like this is that they "groom" their victims, the molester does not see himself as a "rapist". He sees the relationship as mutual sexual gratification.
That interview was his one way ticket to prison. They can use that entire tape in the trial, even if the guy takes a plea, the interview shows no remorse for his actions, and even justification.

This news story makes me so angry! Sandusky is a perverted predator and should live out the rest of his days in prison. However, the coaches, athletic director... who knew about this and did nothing but restrict the predator from their campus are to be blamed as well. This sick individual was caught with a young boy and his bosses were informed and they chose to protect their institution rather than protect the boys that this man had contact with. They did not do the morally right thing. I don't care if they committed a crime - they were wrong!
Words like "egregious" and "outrageous" come to mind, certainly and in support of the comment above, I strongly believe that waayyyyyy too often there are situations, and personally I think more often than not, that people, especially in 'important' and 'influential' positions who simply are not held accountable at all - perhaps because of their respective positions. Whatever the reason, it is not acceptable to me.
And, when there are crimes and people know about these crimes and say nothing about these crimes, there should be some kind of serious consequence for the lack of coming forward - if someone knows of a crime and covers it up, is that not a form of abetting a criminal/offender AND if there is, as is clearly apparent in this situation, that it happened more than once and there is a history of offenses, then, in some way, they were allowing additional crimes to be committed and isn't that the aiding part of "aiding and abetting"?
To think of how many victims will and are suffering when these prolonged assaults could have been prevented and/or stopped...jeez...
One of the sickest crimes ever involved a man who watched another man rape and kill a little girl, the perpetrator got life in prison. The guy who did nothing, and watched--did not even go for help, or try to stop the crime, he is free, there was nothing they could charge him with...I mean, who could imagine that anyone would just watch something like that and do nothing?!
