She could, however, return to Italy in June, Mr. Dalla Vedova said, as a witness in a trial involving her parents, who have been charged with defamation through the press after they said in an interview in a British newspaper that Ms. Knox had told them that she had been verbally and physically abused by the police.
After a court overturned Knox's conviction, an appeal has been started. Amanda's lawyers think it is unlikely that she will be extradited. Lucky Amanda: this should pump up book sales for her.
Oh my lord she's not my darling. IDK, I recently read the book from the woman who sat in at court for many months in Italy and tried to give an unbiased report and I'm not convinced she didn't get away with murder.
I agree with the two of you. Somehow, when the murder victim is in another country and a different nationality, the press and public in the US seem much more forgiving and less discerning. She just looks terribly suspicious to me and her family mustered all the US press on her side, as well as trying to influence our government to intercede. I hate to feel 'snowed' by public and media pressure. I hate having what feels like a selective rendering of the facts.
i am not going to buy it either read and saw enough the rest will be ghost write bluff.... she will not get 1 mill once everyone else gets their slice she may end up with with 100k maybe more.

Does anyone know what Amanda was majoring in at college? Is she going on to get her diploma? Will she have a problem getting hired, do you think?
I hope she gives whatever she gets from the book to her parents, seeing that they spent a million to defend her.
Amanda Knox has shown the world that the Italian justice system is a farce. I hope the book makes her tons of money to help compensate for the public humiliation she had to endure in such a backwards country. The Italians owe her an apology for dragging her name through the mud and imprisoning her for years, without probable cause and without any physical proof of guilt.

There are those who disagree with your comments. The Italians are trying to open the case again. Merideth Kercher's family seems so silent on this issue, and I am not sure that I know the chain of events that Knox's lawyers proposed leading to Amanda's roommate's death.
What really got to me is how much Amanda lied in the beginning, trying to place the blame on others.
