Joran Van Der Sloot Pleads Guilty to 2010 Peru Murder: 'I Truly Am Sorry' - ABC News

Quote:
BY ENJOLI FRANCIS
Jan. 11, 2012

Joran van der Sloot, the prime suspect in the disappearance of American teen Natalee Holloway, pleaded guilty today to the 2010 murder of Stephany Flores in Peru after his lawyer claimed he killed Flores because he suffered mental trauma from being accused in Holloway case.
and he "feels bad" about it.

But we must ask ourselves if there are mitigating factors? Were Twinkies involved?

He is unreal. I saw video of him in court, he was alternatively smirking or yawning. I hope Stephany's family will be vindicated when Van Der Sloot leaves his personal cell, for the real life in that prison.

People were outraged he is only getting 10 years, I don't think he will live that long.

What he did to Stephany was brutal, and sickening.

At least he is behind bars, and other young women are safe from this monster.

1. I think it is despicable that he received 10 years;
2. I hope he has an interesting learning experience while he is in prison;
3. I think he is sorry that he got caught;
4. I think he was surprised to think that people actually thought he killed Ms. Holloway;
5. I think he has no conscience;and
6. Refer to #2

Is that 10 years official ... I can't find it on the news websites. I didn't think the three female judges would rule until tomorrow. The Flores family has been pushing for a life sentence.

Maybe he'll get prison justice.

Once a lady killer always a lady killer.

He's got a screw loose.

He was just sentenced to 28 years until June 10, 2038. He also has to pay 74,000. In 2038 he has to leave the country. (watched on HLN)
