LAS VEGAS (AP) — O.J. Simpson was arrested Sunday and faces multiple felony charges in an alleged armed robbery of collectors involving the former football great's sports memorabilia, authorities said.
Simpson was arrested shortly after 11 a.m., Capt. James Dillon said.
Prosecutors were planning to charge Simpson with two counts of robbery with use of a deadly weapon, conspiracy to commit robbery, burglary with a deadly weapon, two counts of assault with a deadly weapon and coercion, said Clark County District Attorney David Roger.
A conviction on the most serious charge, robbery with use of a deadly weapon, could bring a sentence of three to 35 years for each count, he said.
OJ's strategy will be to dig up Johnny Cockroach and find another racist jury. Oh, and find a Vegas cop who once used the "n" word.
Who knows? Maybe the ACLU will defend OJ's right to commit robbery and assault, since by arresting him, Las Vegas authorities violated his right to privacy.
ha, that would be outstanding.. I don't care if they have to lie, the guy needs to somehow spend the rest of his life behind bars.. set up a Machiavellian court, whatever it takes..
He'll walk. Some stupid prosecutor will bring out the gun and say, hold this. He'll fumble around for 2 minutes and say, "It doesn't fit". Trials over. He walks away.
Not surprising actually. That slow speed pursuit in the murder case is probably viewed as an escape attempt or a flight to avoid prosecution. Plus, he's rumored to have millions in overseas accounts.
Not that he could hide anywhere with that big head of his. It's rather distinctive.
